RED SOX FALL 10-8 AT WEYBURN
The Weyburn Beavers scored seven runs in the fourth inning to power past Regina 10-8 Wednesday at Tom Laing Park.
The Red Sox did make it close by adding a pair of runs in the eighth. Both clubs fought the ball in the field as Regina committed four errors while the Beavers booted five balls.
The Eastern Division pennant winners improved to 34-10 while the loss dropped Regina into third place with a 23-19 record.
Evan Rogers took the loss for Regina after a six inning start. Weyburn starter Ken Williams ran his record to 5-0 with the win. Closer Eric Evans secured his tenth save after 1.1 scoreless innings.
