RED SOX FALL IN SWIFT CURRENT

The Swift Current 57s blanked the Regina Red Sox 9-0 at Mitchell Field on Thursday. The 57s have now won their last three games as they push to move up in the Eastern Division standings.

Joey Machado was spectacular in his third start for Swift Current. The Omaha, Nebraska native pitched six innings and allowed just three hits and two walks before handing the ball to the 57 bullpen.  Aaron Pugh and Keil Krumwiede finished the game without allowing a run to preserve the shutout. Evan Rogers took loss for Regina giving up five runs over six innings.

Bo McClintock had a double and a walk and three RBI to lead Swift Current to victory. Brooks Sotler and Wesley Moss each had two hits for the Red Sox in the loss.
