RED SOX GROUNDED IN EDMONTON
The Edmonton Prospects over powered the Regina Red Sox 19-6 at ReMax Field in Edmonton on Tuesday.
With the win, Edmonton moved back to the .500 mark at 18-18, while Regina dipped to 22-14.
After being down 19-0 Regina fought back with six runs over the last three innings.
Eric Crain had four hits a walk and three runs scored for Edmonton. Nick Spillman, Beaux Guilbeau and Michael Hahan contributed three hits each to the Prospects win. Adam De La Cruz gave the Red Sox some life with two hits, two runs and two stolen bases.
Edmonton starter Conner Burns dominated Regina hitters throwing five shutout innings allowing one hit while striking out seven.
Regina starter Kyle Wilson had a rough outing and only went 3.2 innings in the loss.
