RED SOX HOST RIDER PRIDE NIGHT WEDNESDAY

The Moose Jaw Miller Express won Tuesday night’s battle of the bats 11-8 over the Regina Red Sox in the friendly confines of Ross Wells Park. The two teams combined for 19 runs and 25.  Regina left 10 men on base while Moose Jaw stranded seven base runners.

Moose Jaw’s Jeremy Stidham entertained the 410 fans in attendance by hammering three home runs. Stidham finished the night 3 for 3 with four RBIs.

Derek Slate continued to produce at the plate for the Red Sox as he was credited with two RBIs on three hits.  Slate went yard in the third inning and singled in both the sixth and seventh innings.

Miller Express reliever Ragan Cole recorded his first win of the year. He allowed two runs over two innings while surrendering four Regina hits.

Skyler Henson, making his 17th appearance for the Red Sox, took the loss.

The 22-15 Red Sox return to Currie Field Wednesday night to play the Division leading Swift Current Indians. Game time is set for 7:05 pm.

Fans are encouraged to wear green and show their Rider Pride Wednesday night. Members of the Saskatchewan Roughrider team will signing autographs at Currie Field from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
