RED SOX SWEEP CARDS IN DOUBLE-HEADER

In game 1 of the double header, the Regina Red Sox pounded out 20 hits on their way to a 11-4 victory over the visiting Yorkton Cardinals.

Colton Onstott was Regina’s offensive star with four hits and an RBI. The De La Cruz brothers combined for five runs on six hits, three RBI and a walk as the Red Sox’s increased their record to 11-6 on the year. Peyton Burks had a six inning start for the Red Sox. He allowed four runs on five hits and struck 11 to pick up the win.

Riley Jepson had two hits and a RBI in a losing cause. Yorkton starter Harrison Grow had a rough outing as he was tagged for seven runs on 15 hits and three walks.

The Red Sox scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break and 3-3 tie and defeat the visiting Yorkton Cardinals 5-3 in the second game of the doubleheader.

Wesley Moss continues to wow the fans at Currie Field. Moss contributed two hits and scored a run, his 19th this season to help the Red Sox complete the sweep of the Cardinals. 

Jayse Wilson reached base three times for Yorkton. The Strathmore, AB native picked up two walks, a hit and a run scored. Jared McDonald the junior from Western Oregon University also had two hits including a double for the Cardinals.

Regina is now 12-6 and on a six-game winning streak while Yorkton dropped to 4-14.
