RED SOX SWEPT BY WEYBURN BEAVERS

The Weyburn Beavers used the long ball to defeat the Regina Red Sox 6-2 at Currie Field.

Corey Harrell hammered two home runs and had five RBI as the Beavers beat the Red Sox for the second consecutive night.

Griffin Keller belted a two-run shot in the bottom of the first to account for the Red Sox runs.

Ken Williams was outstanding on the mound for Weyburn tossing 6 innings allowing two runs on four hits and fanning five.

Peyton Burks started for the Red Sox and lasted 5.1 innings before turning things over to the bullpen.

With the loss the Red Sox are now 1-3, while Weyburn remains undefeated at 4-0.

The Red Sox will travel to Yorkton to battle the Cardinals on Saturday.
