RED SOX TAKE GAME 1 OVER 57'S

Adam De La Cruz produced four hits including a home run and scored four runs to push Regina past Swift Current 9-6 in the first game of their best of five playoff series.

In addition to De La Cruz’s solo home run in the top of the fourth inning, Regina got dingers from Matt DeNeau and outfielder Brooks Stotler.

Keil Krumwiede led Swift Current with a pair of hits and scored two runs.

Regina sent Evan Rogers to the hill to begin the game. After 6.2 innings Rogers turned the ball over to Anthony Race. The Arkansas Tech junior only allowed a walk over the final 2.1 innings of work to pick up the win.

Evan Pontley started for Swift Current and gave way to the 57s bullpen after five complete innings. Jack Ferguson came on in relief and was responsible for the loss.

Game 2 goes Wednesday at Mitchell Field. Game 3, if necessary, goes Thursday night at Regina’s Currie Field.
