The Regina Red Sox got a complete game shutout from starter Skyler Shaw-Fuss on route to a 1-0 win over Weyburn Sunday night. Regina now has a commanding 2-0 series lead, winning both games at Tom Laing Park.

Shaw-Fuss, making his second playoff start, dominated the 32 Weyburn batters he faced. He gave up just three hits and a walk while striking out four on the way to victory.

Regina had seven hits, while both teams committed an error. Gabe Snyder held a hot bat for the Red Sox going three for four. Geoff Seto also reached base twice on a pair of walks.  Tanner Stokey scored Regina’s winning run in the sixth inning.

Game three of the series is scheduled for Monday night at Currie Field. If needed, game four will be played Tuesday night. Both contests will begin at 7:05 pm.
