REDBLACKS SIGN REGINA PRODUCT
Garrett Burgess has become the latest Canadian wide receiver to sign with the Ottawa REDBLACKS of the Canadian Football League.
Burgess (6-0, 200), a Regina native, played five seasons with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies in Canadian University Sports (CIS) football. The 23-year-old ranked seventh in the CIS with 48 catches in the 2013 season, totaling 596 yards and one touchdown.
Burgess is the fourth Canadian receiver to sign with the REDBLACKS, joining Matt Carter (Acadia), Aaron Hargreaves (Simon Fraser) and Gatineau native Simon Le Marquand (Ottawa).
