RIDER FAN GETS JAIL TIME

Some said the 2013 Grey Cup in Regina was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and any die hard Saskatchewan fan would pay any price to be at the game.  One Roughriders fan took that to heart, and will now serve some time in jail for attending.

Douglas Carter was serving a conditional sentence for theft and was supposed to observe a nighttime curfew at his home.  Instead, he went to Regina from North Battleford for the 101st Grey Cup. Carter didn't make it back home for his curfew following the game, and the next morning, he was arrested.

A judge has now sentenced him to 30 days behind bars for breaking curfew.  The prosecutor said he would have asked for more time for Carter had the Roughriders not won.

Good, another disobiedient burden to society off the street, jail is where he belongs. Kudos to the judge for rightly doing their job.
