RIDER MOVES
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have announced the following transactions:
· ADD international offensive lineman Pierce Burton to practice roster
· ADD international defensive lineman Justin Cole to practice roster
· ADD international linebacker Diamond Ferri to practice roster
· ADD international quarterback Denarius McGhee to practice roster
· ADD international kicker Quinn Sharp to practice roster
· ADD international wide receiver Chris Summers to practice roster
· RELEASE national kicker Justin Palardy
WOW – six quarterbacks on the team!
Now I am really scratching my head.
Diamond Ferri is back for the playoff push and second Grey Cup ring with the Riders! And another QB?
Chris Summers is an interesting prospect. Only 25 years of age and he is big – 6-5. Nice highlight catch by him can be found on the Buffalo Bills website. Looks like a bigger Jamal Richardson.
The addition of Quinn Sharp should appease the Milo haters. Quinn did play a game with the Argos last year and was known as a kick-off specialist with the Bengals.
Training camp QB's for 2015. The backup battle should be wide open. Gotta find SOMEONE that works.
Another import Olineman,
With the way Adcock has played, Fulton may have played his last game with the Green & White
McGhee is an interesting prospect. The same size as Durant and appears to be just as athletic. He was one of the top 15 undrafted QB's out of college. A video of him from this past spring's pro day is on You Tube.
Justin Cole has been with four NFL teams and played linebacker. Another interesting prospect for the future.
Could there be a trade in the works for Fulton?
Thought that there would be more LB on board.
Now lets see if they can play
As far as college prospects go, ALL of them will have a good highlight tape. ALL of them have accomplished something at the collegiate level and ALL of them look like they could play pro ball. How many guys come into CFL camps every year that look good on film or had a good college career and get cut and never heard from again?
I'm just saying I wouldn't get too caught up in a guy's height/weight/highlight reel.
I like to see ferri back he is a good coverage lb i think he could even play a little db
Giles
Ferri's biggest problem was his untimely 15 yard penaltys. Even on special teams he would cost the team.
he was not resigned here. Went to camp in Montreal and was cut. I would suggest his time is career is all but over. Taman has brought him to the P.R. as no more than an insurance policy if we start running out of LB's due to injury.
Reginald of Regina
What's wrong with Xavier Fulton? I always thought he played great has something changed?
hopefully we can get some reports as to how these guys look in practice.
