Consider and celebrate for a moment the wonderful accomplishment of the Regina Thunder champ grads and undrafted talents of Mitch Thompson and Whitehouse who made the active roster.

FYI – Whitehouse and Thompson are being sent back to Junior.

Hope the Riders consider bringing Richardson back if he's healthy.

I'f stay away from Charles and Mallett.

So Kyle Walters essentially got a great QB and a starting CDN lineman out of Sask for free with Hall in the NFL and Jade cut

Most teams in the CFL have a very good 1- 2 QB tandem. Riders a injury away to their starting QB from disaster to this season. 2013 grey cup in the past. In hindsight, taman should have tried a harder to sign Willey instead of helping Winnipeg again.

I too am really worried about our MLB. Kilgore looked like he could get to the ball okay, running sideline to sideline, but obviously we won't have him until Week 7 now!! Hurl is undersized in the middle. He is great on special teams and Peters is good at will linebacker, but again is very undersized to play the middle linebacker position. He is maybe 225 lbs and you really need somebody in the 235-240 range that can run and plug gaps. Shomari is certainly not the answer either!!! It may be Tristan Black for the first game or two.… Read more »

What would you have realistically asked Winnipeg for to get Drew Willy considering he was a FA on Feb 15 Cmon smart guy, you're taking a shot at Taman here so put on your GM hat and tell us what YOU would have done. I've got way more faith in Brendan than some anonymous blowhard who thinks he knows it all. Waiting for your response.

Yup WPG got the QB and the CDN lineman and the Riders got that big silvery, shiny Cup thingy!

Completely agree with the Anonymous and Clarkenstein on Willy and the OT from the U of S that was injured here last year and never regained his form. (can't even remember his name. Where is John Frenzie when I need him?!!!) Neither guy was going to play ahead of Durant or Heenan. End of story. We won the Cup and Winnipeg won't make the playoffs again. Honestly, they won't finish ahead of B.C., Calgary or the Riders. Edmonton will likely beat them out as well.

Neufeld was traded for a guy who helped us get to the GC. Willy was traded for a player we gave a chance too. Willy was gone on February 15th regardless. No questions asked the trade was worth it.

A few surprises to me anyways.
Jeremy Beal,Jade Etienne,Brandon Isaac,Troy Stoudermire,Richard Sumlin and Adam Weber. After Sunseri's performance I thought his days were numbered and they would keep both new comers. Stoudemire looked impressive on kick returns.Jade not good enough? Isaac biggest surprise of all to me. Didn't they just bring Beal in? Sisco doesn't surprise me. I never felt he was healthy enough to see how good he is. Should be interesting to see who accepts practice roster posting. My bet is all of the above except Sisco.

Looks like Toronto does not have to play by the rules. They will wait until Sunday to announce cuts. Is there not at least a fine for this? Or do you just chalk it up to arrogance?

I would not be surprised to see Jamel Richarson move down the road to Ottawa, given his past relationship with their GM. I guess that depends on his health. While it would not be such a bad thing to see him return to the green and white, I am happy to see the Riders stick with and develop their new core of receivers.

Toronto is playing by the rules.
The cuts had to be submitted to the league yesterday, but its up to the club to release them to the media.
Riders released there list to the public / media last night at 8PM.

Jamel Richardson tore the lcl AND the acl in his left knee last August. Bad luck as it happened in practice, but at 32 it will be a long road back!

The worst team in the league just cut Hugh Charles and people actually think he could make it here? Wow, I wonder what Color the sky is in their world?
