RIDERS ADD HAZIME, RELEASE REA

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced national defensive lineman Hasan Hazime has signed with the team. As per club policy, details of the contracts were not released.

Hazime (6’5 – 280) will join the Riders after spending the last three seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. In 35 career games the 28-year-old product of Wake Forest has registered 23 defensive tackles, three tackles for loss, two quarterback sacks, and two special teams tackles.

Hazime was originally selected by the Edmonton Eskimos in the 5th round (36th overall) of the 2012 CFL Draft before being acquired by Hamilton in a February, 2013 transaction.

· The Riders also announced they have released national fullback Matthew Rea.

He'll do just fine with the Roughriders of Saskatchewan coming from a real professional football franchise such as the Hamilton Tiger Cats as he was taught how to play by The Sk. Football God Mr. Kent Austin, don't worry little guy, test assured those dudes Jones and Murphy, Riderville will be happy with this addition.

Hazime will play inside ahead of the other Canadians like Connop and Tenannt. Do you really think he is a CFL edge rusher at 280?

Certainly no Westerman or Eddie Steele. Or Shologan (remember him?) for that matter.
