RIDERS FINED FOR RATIO HIJINX
TORONTO (August 3, 2016) — The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced on Wednesday:
The Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club was fined $15,000 for an in-game roster violation related to deployment of international players in their game played on July 16, 2016 versus the BC Lions.
Saskatchewan Roughrider Thaddeus Coleman was fined for a dangerous block on Montreal Alouettes defensive lineman Aaron Lavarias.
Saskatchewan Roughrider Josiah St. John was fined for a chop block on Montreal Alouettes defensive lineman Vaughn Martin.
Edmonton Eskimo Jabari Hunt was fined for a low hit to Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Matt Nichols.
As per league policy, the amount of the player fines was not disclosed.
How is it possible in the history of the cfl this is the first time i have ever heard of a team violoating the ratio? Every team in the history of the league in every game played has never violoated the ratio once?
