RIDERS, LIONS ROSTERS FOR SATURDAY NIGHT
– Fans will notice two new banners adorning the westside grandstand when they come to Mosaic Stadium Saturday evening. Riders VP of Marketing and Business Development Gregg Sauter told 620 CKRM’s SportsCage on Friday that the club went with three story banners honouring Ron Lancaster, and Darian as new decor for the Farewell Season.
Lancaster is considered “The Greatest Roughrider of Them All” while the Durant pennant symbolizes the greatest moment in stadium history, the 2013 home Grey Cup championship.
– The Riders also encourage fans to use any and all leftover beer tokens for home games in 2016 because a new purchasing process will be introduced in the new stadium in 2017.
– Fans are also encouraged to arrive to the stadium early because of the new wand metal detector system which has been instituted, replacing the physical pat-down method.
– The Roughriders have also introduced a Designated Driver Program. Fans are asked to visit the tents on the east and sides for information on the new responsible drinking program and plan a new safe ride home.

Someone tell me again how much improved the Riders Canadian depth is. And please show examples from the depth chart. This should be good.
How about you show us your qualifications on determining our Canadian Talent level for you statement that there is no depth?
Sorry. Not good enough examples. Try again.
Besides the negative first few comments, I would argue a fair critique to have concern that the Riders completely failed with the mismanagement of the number one draft choice. Although Sask may think that all is okay… Just remember that all the other teams enhanced their Canadian talent by signing first rounders; meanwhile the Roughies fell behind and it may cost them in the long run…
Sask did not get ahead in the last draft, they fell behind the other teams. In order to be a championship team in the CFL, you have to have established Canadian talent.
For real
So first round picks guarantee success?
so great to see a lineup card again
Yes because signing Shomari Williams greatly enhanced the Riders that season… Realistically the teams that do best in the later rounds of the draft are the teams that benefit most from the draft. Gone are the days when you only get one decent player in the first round of the CFL draft. The talent throughout and scouting those later rounds properly are where you see the greatest benefit. (See Webster; Steinhauer). While these weren't draft picks of the current front office you won't know how this years draft went until later this season or into next year.
Wow. Only 6 national starters.
Wow ! Only 6 National "BITCHERS" !
Excited to see the new talent. Rebuilding is tough, hurts some, slower than you want … but has to be done. Have patience. Enjoy watching for future stars.
What a group of know-nothing morons posting about the draft. Shomari Williams ended up a dud and was nothing special. Most of the picks this year will be on special teams or sitting around. More than half the first round picks end up beings busts. We got a great prospect in Bouka and the best licker in the draft. St. John was not going to be a starter very likely and who knows if he was capable of anything. Bad advice by his agent has probably ruined his career. Nobody CFL or NFL is likely to want him. Some idiots… Read more »
I don't know if you are agreeing with me or not? Haha
Keep drinking the green Kool-Aid. This is by far the funniest site I visit with the biggest group of gullible people I have ever seen.
To the guy that said, "Wow ! Only 6 National "BITCHERS" !
You are negative, you are a troll and you are an obvious bully. Did I fail to mention you are also an 'IDIOT'!
If you are not going to add something positive to the conversation, then don't say anything at all.

Gameday, look in the mirror, he is correct. Read it again.
Anybody out there still defending this roster ?
Trashing the guy that stated only 6 national bitchers without trashing the guy that stated only 6 national starters is just plain dumb. Either that or you posted only 6 national starters. This is preseason. They have to cut half of their American players. So I would suggest that it's important to see them play. Since they out number Canadians at least 3 to 1Also I believe you have to have 7 Canadians starting. Who cares who starts, who finishes or who does what. This is the time to allow the coaching staff to determine who stays and who go's.… Read more »
