Wow,point spread will be very important in the BC and Calgary games.
Too bad that the first Rider game in Winnipeg is on a Thursday night instead of a weekend. The rematch after Labour Day is always during harvest and it's impossible to attend that one. Plus the home game on Craven weekend sucks too. Oh well, can't be all things to all people.
Rex
Peter King wants to attend a CFL game, on twitter it sounds like Regina was the consensus choice from his followers.
Riders should invite him to a game and have him do the “bring’em out” pre-game video.
Rex,
Would you rather they have consulted you first?
Rex has a point. They could consult every fan and still not please everyone.
Myself I hate Saturday summer games. Screws up the whole weekend. Hate comming in when its a perefect summer day on the lake. We have three.
My wish list would be a NFL style.
All games on Sunday and starts out east and moves west one full day of awesome football. Could throw in one Monday night.
R NATION is back ! (Ottawa).
FEEL THE VIBE !
Dean,
While you are entitled to your opinion as are others. For those like me who drive up to seven hours round trip to attend games, I much prefer the Saturday games as I don't have to rush to get home for work the next day.
There are pro's and con's to every game on the schedule. If you don't like it, or if it conflicts with your schedule, don't buy tickets next year. Simple as that.
5 of first 7 against east opponents ..crazy
very strong east opponents
"Wow,point spread will be very important in the BC and Calgary games." How often do you find yourself looking back on the season and saying wow, that point spread against team X sure was important. It really only matters if we end up tied with either of those teams. It's more important to simply win those games. So, wow, isn't really appropriate here. "very strong east opponents" Stronger than Cgy or BC? Doubtful. We'll need to be on for every game given that the doormats in Wpg and Edm will be better. Wpg – because they have a QB (in… Read more »
Thanks Dean, that was my point exactly. Some people like to form an opinion before they read the whole post. It has often been said that as hard as it is to get to the top, it's even harder to stay on top. Every team is working hard to improve and change things up so that they can dethrone us in 2014. Therefore if we want to stay on top we have to work twice as hard and improve ourselves too. We made that mistake in 2011 when, after playing in the GC game, we made little/awful changes and ended… Read more »
I commend you on driving 7 hours.
"Dean,
While you are entitled to your opinion as are others"
This is exactly what I was talking about. Everyone would make up their own perfect schedule.
I'm a rider fan and summers are short. I'm probably going to give away those tickets to other family memembers.
