RIDERS RELEASE MONIZ
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have announced the release of international quarterback Bryant Moniz.
Moniz signed with the Roughriders on Saturday, June 25/2016. He appeared in both of the Roughriders’ regular season games, taking just two snaps and fumbling on both occasions.
Here’s his bio from the Rider news release from three weeks ago:
Moniz (6’0 – 205) joins the Riders after spending the last two seasons with the Calgary Stampeders. The 27-year-old dressed for all 36 regular season contests as a backup, completing two of four pass attempts for 29 yards and a touchdown. Moniz added 35 rush attempts for 98 yards and six touchdowns as the Stamps deployed him in short yardage situations.
The University of Hawaii product won his first Grey Cup in 2014 as a member of the Stampeders.

Meaning that if the drive was kept alive and Darian marched for a TD. The half time score would have been 14-14 instead of 21-7. That turnover for a TD really hurt the Riders chances in the 1st… Read more »
