RIDERS' RODGERS, DEMSKI GETTING NFL LOOKS
The website NFLTradeRumors.com reported Friday that the Minnesota Vikings worked out five CFL players this week including veteran Saskatchewan CB Kacy Rodgers.
Also getting a tryout with the Vikes were BC DE Craig Roh, EDM WR Brandon Zylstra, MTL CB Jonathan Mincy and EDM WR Darrel Walker.
Meanwhile CFL Insider Justin Dunk of 3DownNation.com told 620 CKRM’s SportsCage on Friday that veteran Saskatchewan KR/REC Nic Demski will workout for the NFL’s NY Giants later this month.
Demski – a 3-year vet from Manitoba – got into only 9 games in 2017 with the Riders due to injury. In the first half of the season, Demski caught 9 passes for 222 yards and 1 TD.
Dunk appears weekly on the SportsCage on Four Seasons Football Friday.
There is no word on any NFL tryouts scheduled for Roughriders MVP Duron Carter however the flamboyant receiver hinted on Twitter that he has received interest from south of the border.
