The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today international free agent receiver/returner Kendial Lawrence has signed with the team. As per club policy, details of the contract were not released.
Lawrence (5’9 – 195) has signed with the Riders after spending the last two seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos. He originally entered the CFL with Hamilton Tiger-Cats in September, 2013.

He has also added 59 kickoff returns for 1,359 yards and two touchdowns, and 142 punt returns for 1,410 yards and one touchdown. He has spent time at both receiver and running back.
Last season, Lawrence played 17 regular season games and was a key component in the Eskimos post-season run.
He won his first Grey Cup championship with Edmonton in 2015.

Great signing, with the absence of Dressler and Jackson this fills the kick return slot very well! Plus the added bonus of putting him in as a running back, very versatile, I like it!

This is a great signing. Versatile, can run it, catch it and return it!!! A Jock Sanders type player, but better and still in the prime of his career.

Says the "unproven" American O lineman started last year in TO sounds like a good trade to me.

Free agency is not leftovers. These are players testing the market to get their actual worth. We are real and this is some REAL talent coming to Saskatchewan! Must be an old boys club member that would rather have the team in the basement and hold on to every player then move forward and win games.

Massive – have you noticed that no one else is going after these players including the teams they were on in 2015.
