Road To The Canadian Bowl Begins

After finishing in first place during the 2025 Prairie Football Conference (PFC) with an impressive 7-1 record, the Regina Thunder are set to host the Edmonton Huskies in semi-final action.
The winner will move on the PFC final against either Saskatoon or Winnipeg.
Kick-off is set for 1pm this Sunday afternoon at Leibel Field.
In their two meeting during the regular season the Thunder beat the Huskies
Regina Thunder 31- 16 and 57-7.
Head Coach Scott MacAulay is proud of the team’s 7-1 regular season record and finishing first, because it speaks loudly of the team’s positive culture and overall commitment each player has to the Thunder program.
“We know that Edmonton is a very talented, hard-working team, who are well coached and have a strong competitive nature,” said MacAulay. “I really believe in our guys and if we continue to maintain our focus and stay true to our game plan, we will have a very good chance to win this weekend and move on to the PFC championship game.”
“There is nothing better than playoff football in Saskatchewan,” said Thunder Team President Murad Al-Katib. “Our team is very excited about playing in front of our dedicated and loyal fans and we thank all of our sponsors and volunteers who make the Thunder game day such a positive experience.”
To add to the excitement of the day, the Thunder are hosting wiener dog races at half time. As well, fans can enjoy hot dogs for just $2, all afternoon.

Regina Thunder rocks! 🤘🏻
Go THUNDER Go.
Could be a terrific football weekend in Regina come early November! Riders hosting the WF on the 8th, and perhaps the Thunder hosting the Canadian Bowl on the 9th. Could the stars possibly align with the Rams hosting a USPORTS playoff game that weekend, too? What’s not to like!
