RODGERS, KNOX TO THE NFL
There are now two holes in the Saskatchewan Roughriders defense.
The team announced on Tuesday evening that CB Kacy Rodgers (left) and LB Jeff Knox have both signed NFL deals.
Rodgers – who spent the past two CFL seasons in Saskatchewan after breaking into the league with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2015 – has signed with the New York Jets.
Rodgers’ father, Kacy Sr., is the Defensive Coordinator with the Gotham Green.
Knox is returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after being cut by the Bucs following training camp in 2017.
Knox was a triple-winner with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2015, being named the club’s Most Outstanding Player, Most Outstanding Defensive Player and Most Outstanding Rookie.
