The Saskatchewan Roughriders have moved leading receiver Naaman Roosevelt to the 6-game Injured List.

Roosevelt was injured after a hit to the head from Calgary safety Tunde Adeleke in last Sunday’s game.

Roosevelt has gone through the CFL’s concussion protocol and won’t be back on the field anytime soon. The move was announced Thursday morning when the Riders declared their roster for Week 15.

The veteran from Buffalo is in his third season with the Riders and leads the club with 929 yards receiving. He’ll be replaced in Friday’s game at Ottawa by rookie Antwane Grant (5:00 pm, TSN, 620 CKRM Radio Network).
The club has also placed veteran centre Dan Clark back on the 6-game Injured List. He just recently became eligible to come off that list but Head Coach & GM Chris Jones told reporters Thursday at TD Place Stadium that Clark “isn’t quite 100%”. Canadian receiver Devin Bailey has also been added to the 6-game, making way for newcomer Brett Blaczko to make his Saskatchewan debut.
Meanwhile the RedBlacks have injury woes of their own. Left tackle Sir Vincent Rogers – the CFL’s 2015 Most Outstanding Lineman – will miss Friday’s game after being injured in practice this week. That makes three starting O-linemen down for the 5-8-1 RedBlacks.
Meanwhile rookie Ryan Lindley will make his second straight start at quarterback due to injuries to veterans Trevor Harris and Drew Tate. In his CFL debut, Lindley threw one pick and no touchdowns in a 29-9 loss at Winnipeg last Thursday.
And in Calgary, CFL leading rusher Jerome Messam will miss Friday’s home game against Montreal with a knee injury.
