RUSH DOWN MAMMOTH 17-12, REMAIN UNBEATEN

Denver, CO – For the second straight game, the Saskatchewan Rush broke up a close game with a six-goal third quarter. This time, the half-dozen paved the way to the Rush’s 17-12 win over the Colorado Mammoth on Saturday night in Denver.

With the win, the Rush are now the lone remaining undefeated team in the NLL and move into top spot overall and into sole possession of first place in the West Division.

Saskatchewan’s 4-0 record is their best start to a season since 2014 when the Rush set an NLL record by winning their first 14 games and finishing the regular-season with a 16-2 record. The Rush’s win was already their third road victory of the year, as well as their 10th in their last 12 games against the Mammoth, and fourth in their six games in Denver.

Ben McIntosh was the dominant offensive threat for the Rush as he racked up 10 points, including eight assists. Curtis Knight, Robert Church, and Marty Dinsdale each posted hat tricks for the Rush, who also got a seven-point effort from Mark Matthews (1 goal, 7 assists).

Saskatchewan goalie Evan Kirk was terrific early on and ended the night with 33 saves.

The Rush are back home this coming Friday when they face the team they beat in the 2016 Champion’s Cup Final, the Buffalo Bandits.
