RUSH TO PAY TRIBUTE TO SASKATCHEWAN

SASKATCHEWAN – The Saskatchewan Rush Lacrosse Club is proud to represent the great province of Saskatchewan and to show our appreciation, the Rush are hosting ‘Saskatchewan Tribute Night’ this Saturday, April 2nd versus the Calgary Roughnecks in another instalment of the ‘Battle of the Prairies’.  The Rush clinched a playoff spot last weekend with back-to-back victories over the Toronto Rock and they will be able to clinch a home playoff spot, with a victory this weekend over Calgary.

The fan-base of the Saskatchewan Rush “Rush Nation” now proudly sits in third place for overall average attendance in the NLL with 10,809 fans per home game; behind only Buffalo and Colorado, two of the largest markets in the National Lacrosse League. The Rush want to encourage fans from all across Saskatchewan to ‘Be A Part of History’ Saturday night as the team looks towards their first sell-out at SaskTel Centre with 14,941 loud and proud fans cheering them on. There are only a handful of tickets available in the lower bowl for this game, with group seating in the upper bowl now limited.

You're so FULL OF BULLSHIT! Half of all Rider games DO NOT include Saskatoon fans. Probably 10-15% at the highest. The majority of fans know this because if it was half, then there would be 15000 people on Hwy 11 each game and we all know that isn't true. Be realistic…maybe 5-8000 tops. Duh!

1. Complaining about anything "x Nation" is stupid and makes you look petty; lots of teams refer to their fans as a nation. 2. Half of Rider crows most certainly are NOT from Saskatoon and surrounding areas. When the Riders were bad to mediocre and there were only 22 or 23 thousand fans in the stands, those North-bound highways weren't exactly jam packed with cars on game day. I do. And I DON'T PROCLAIM that half the Rush crowds are from Regina either. I'm sensible when it comes to making retarded statements.
