RUSH UNVEIL NEW JERSIES
Saskatoon, SK – The Saskatchewan Rush are proud to announce a trio of new jerseys for the upcoming 2017-2018 season. The grey “armour” jersey will be worn to defend home turf, the black “power” jersey will be worn on the road proudly showcasing Saskatchewan in major markets across North America, while the vibrant green jersey will be worn as a third jersey symbolizing the “pride of the prairies”.
While the team’s primary colours have not changed, each jersey was innovatively designed with noticeably new features. Fans will see a new Rush circle logo featured on the shoulders of each jersey. Each jersey also features side panels with a unique pattern that reads, “#RushNation” (home and away) or “Saskatchewan” (third). The jerseys will compliment new black and green shorts, giving the players a completely new look this season.
“As we enter our third season in Saskatchewan, we wanted to design fresh new jerseys that truly reflect the culture of our organization. The home and away jerseys pay tribute to our rabid fans, the very best in the National Lacrosse League. While, the third jersey celebrates our home province” said Rush Team Owner Bruce Urban.
Manufactured by ProJoy, the jerseys are more athletically fitting and breathable than ever before. Designed with the players in mind, creating a more durable and high-quality jersey was a pressing priority this off-season.
“The players absolutely love all three jerseys! Listing Rush Nation on the sides of the jerseys strengthens the bond between our players and our amazing fans. Our players motto this season is ‘Trust the Process’ and we look forward to unveiling each jersey, beginning with our pre-season Champions Cup Rematch vs Georgia” said Rush Head Coach/GM Derek Keenan.
Rush Nation will be able to see the new grey jerseys in action for the first time on November 18th, as the team hosts the Georgia Swarm in a Champion’s Cup Rematch. All three jerseys are now on sale at the Rush office and online store. The new jerseys will also be available for purchase at SaskTel Centre this Saturday. Blank jerseys will be sold for $120.00 plus taxes, while player crested jerseys will be sold for $160.00 plus taxes.
