Denver CO – The Saskatchewan Rush rallied twice and snapped a tie late in the fourth quarter to pick up a 13-10 victory over the Colorado Mammoth on Friday night in Denver.

With the win, the Rush already claim a season-series verdict with two road wins against the Mammoth. The two teams will meet for a third and final time later this season in Saskatoon. The Rush (6-1) also maintain their lead atop the National Lacrosse League’s West Division, moving 1½ games in front of Colorado (4-2). The Rush are unbeaten with four road victories so far this season.

“It was a real grinder of a game,” said Rush GM/head coach Derek Keenan. “I thought we came out flat and didn’t have a lot of jump, but then we got it going. We held them to 10 goals and that was big. It’s a good win for us.”

Robert Church (3 goals, 3 assists) led the Rush attack alongside the first four-goal game of Keenan’s career. Marty Dinsdale and Ben McIntosh both finished with four points (2 goals, 2 assists), Curtis Knight and Mark Matthews combined for seven assists, and Evan Kirk mustered 39 saves.

The Rush continue a two-game weekend as they head home to Co-op Field at SaskTel Centre on Saturday night to take on the Vancouver Stealth.
