VICTORIA – Tanner Howe scored four goals, Connor Bedard netted a hat trick and Regina (11-11-1-1) outlasted Victoria in a high-scoring affair. The opening two periods each consisted of six combined goals between both sides with the Pats up 7-5 going into the third period.

 

 

BLADES 5 ICE 2

SASKATOON Egor Sidorov netted a hat trick to lead the Saskatoon Blades to a 5-2 win over the Winnipeg Ice on Saturday.

Vaughn Watterodt and Jayden Wiens added the others for Saskatoon (16-5-0). Trevor Wong recorded three assists while Ethan Chadwick made 21 saves.

Aiden Oiring and Ty Nash replied for Eastern Conference-leading Winnipeg (22-3-0). Mason Beaupit stopped 17-of-22 shots.

REBELS 6 RAIDERS 1

RED DEER, ALTA. – Kai Uchacz led the way with one goal and two assists as Red Deer (17-4-0-3) cruised past Prince Albert (9-13-2). The Rebels jumped out of the gates with three first-period markers, eventually going up 6-0, before the Raiders got on the board 10:54 into the final frame.

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – Caedan Bankier netted two goals as Kamloops (11-5-3-1) defeated Prince George (13-10-0). After Riley Heidt made it a 1-1 game for the Cougars early in the second period, the Blazers scored three unanswered, two from Bankier, the remainder of the way.

WARRIORS 4 ROCKETS 3

KELOWNA, B.C. – Jagger Firkus capped a two-goal effort with the game-winning goal at 19:42 of the third period as Moose Jaw (15-9-0) edged Kelowna (9-10-1). Brayden Yager added the other two for the Warriors who surrendered a 3-1 lead before Firkus stopped it from going to overtime.

HURRICANES 6 WHEAT KINGS 4

BRANDON, M.B. – Tyson Laventure notched a hat trick to lead Lethbridge (14-10-0-1) squeezed past Brandon (8-15-2). The Hurricanes were up 5-2 early in the third period when the Wheat Kings scored two in a row to make it a one-goal game before Laventure capped his hat trick with an empty-net goal.

MEDICINE HAT, ALTA. – Riley Fiddler-Schultz recorded one goal and two assists as Calgary (12-6-2-1) used a big second period to top Medicine Hat (8-11-4-1). Down 1-0 after the opening period, the Hitmen scored three of their four unanswered goals in the second to pull away.

BRONCOS 5 OIL KINGS 3

SWIFT CURRENT, SASK. – Josh Filmon scored what proved to be the winner to lead Swift Current (11-11-0) past Edmonton (4-20-1) in a back and forth affair. Tied at 3-3, Filmon scored 13:07 into the final frame followed by a Mathew Ward marker 4:59 later to cement the win.

AMERICANS 4 CHIEFS 2

KENNEWICK, WA. – Parker Bell scored two goals, Tomas Suchanek made 31 saves and Tri-City (9-13-0) topped Spokane (4-15-0-1). After going down 1-0 early in the first period, the Americans scored four unanswered – two in the first, two in the second – to pull away from the Chiefs.
