HURRICANES 5 WHEAT KINGS 4
LETHBRIDGE, Alta. – Tate Olson scored at 16:31 of overtime and the Lethbridge Hurricanes downed the Brandon Wheat Kings 5-4 on Saturday in Western Hockey League playoff action.
Olson tacked on two assists for a three-point night as Lethbridge erased a four-goal deficit for the come-from-behind victory.
Jordy Bellerive scored twice while Taylor Ross and Jake Elmer had the other for the Hurricanes, who lead the best-of-seven second-round series 2-0.
Marcus Sekundiak, Connor Gutenberg, Stelio Mattheos and Evan Weinger struck for the Wheat Kings, who host Game 3 on Tuesday.
Logan Flodell made 29 saves for Lethbridge as Dylan Myskiw turned aside 42 shots for Brandon.
The Hurricanes went 1 for 8 on the power play while the Wheat Kings went 0 for 6 with the man advantage.

SILVERTIPS 6 WINTERHAWKS 0
EVERETT, Wash. – Carter Hart made 26 saves and Patrick Bajkov had a hat trick as the Silvertips beat Portland to even their second-round series at a game apiece.
Sean Richards, Martin Fasko-Rudas and Garrett Pilon also scored for Everett.
Shane Farkas combined with Cole Kehler for 26 saves for the Winterhawks.
Portland hosts Game 3 on Tuesday.

AMERICANS 4 ROYALS 1
VICTORIA – Michael Rasmussen scored a hat trick as Tri-City toppled the Royals to go up 2-0 in the second-round matchup.
Morgan Geekie also scored for the Americans, who got 25 saves from Patrick Dea.
Dante Hannoun replied for Victoria. Griffen Outhouse kicked out 37-of-40 shots in defeat.
Tri-City will attempt to go up 3-0 on Tuesday when it hosts Game 3.
