SCHIOLER, BRADLEY INVITED TO NHL CAMPS

The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce defenceman Liam Schioler and forward Matt Bradley have been invited to NHL rookie camps this week.

Schioler, a second round pick of the Pats in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft, has been invited to rookie camp with the Edmonton Oilers. The Winnipeg product will play in the Young Stars Classic in Penticton, B.C. from September 8 to 11.

Schioler is coming off a stellar year in 2016-17 where he finished tied for 11th among WHL defenceman at plus 28. The now 19-year-old also put up 10 points in 71 games to go along with 48 penalty minutes.

Bradley is headed to training camp with the Minnesota Wild this week. Bradley was acquired from the Medicine Hat Tigers this summer, he and the Wild will play in the 2017 NHL Prospect Tournament in Traverse City from September 8 to 12.

Bradley put up career numbers in Medicine Hat in 2016-17, finishing tied for 29th in scoring with 77 points and tied for 25th with 34 goals.

Bradley and Schioler join Sam Steel (Anaheim), Josh Mahura (Anaheim), Jake Leschyshyn (Vegas) and Jonathan Smart (Toronto) who are also attending NHL training camps this week.

The Pats will continue the 2017 pre-season on Friday night in Brandon at 6:30 p.m. The club will return home to host the Wheat Kings on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Brandt Centre. Tickets will be available at the door for $10.
