SJHL AND CRAVEN TEAM UP
The SJHL wants to acknowledge the contribution that CRAVEN COUNTRY JAMBOREE has made to the SJHL individual teams scholarship programs. Each team has determined how it will assist players of their organizations in continuing their education upon leaving their SJHL teams.
The Craven Country Jamboree is proud to be the first organization to support the SJHL teams in assisting their players continuing their education upon completing their playing days in the SJHL. In 2013, artists performing at the festival signed twelve hockey jerseys (one per SJHL team). The festival donated each jersey back to its respective team for auction, and helped to raise the first $10,000 dollars for the fund.
“We are proud to support young athletes through the SJHL’s teams’ education programs.” said Troy Vollhoffer, executive producer of the Craven Country Jamboree. “We have had such unbelievable support from the people of Saskatchewan for our festival, and we believe it is our duty to pay back that support. Each year, the festival provides over $250,000 to dozens of organizations around the province and we are excited to be the first to support the SJHL’s commitment to the education of their athletes.”
“Though the young men who come to our league are focused on hockey, we understand the importance of education and want to support our players to achieve their educational goals as well,” said Bill Chow, president of the SJHL. “We have been extremely fortunate to receive support from many corporations, but are grateful to the Craven Country Jamboree for supporting our vision in the beginning.”

Always great to see the league sponsored by a venue where 50 percent of the league's players learned where to be alcoholics.
