STACKHOUSE’S SJHL ALL-DECADE TEAMS

There was, basically, no scientific way of coming up with this list.  Most of it was done by memory of watching games and stat checking. The great thing about lists like these is that there is always room for plenty of debate.

There were a few guys who played in 2009-10 that I maybe should have on there, but because their careers also preceding that year, I left them off.  Taylor Thiessen, Michael Young, Mike Alexander, Dustin Stevenson, Jordan Braid, and Kyle Ireland are in that category.

Some other guys had really good careers split between teams, so they could have made the list but were left off just because trades, perhaps, reduced the impact on the teams they played on.

Hopefully you have all had a Merry Christmas and a great New Year is in store for.  Thanks for reading.

Great list, thanks for putting in the effort. It would be fun to see a list including coach/GM.

Coaches are hard for me because it’s hard to remove myself from the personal side.

But, from 2010-now….

I look at Trevor Blevins and where he took their program after he took over.

I also credit Jamie Fiesel based on where their program is since he left.

MIke Reagan always has a credible program.

Doug Johnson’s teams are also always very good.

Darcy Haugan had Humboldt set on being a league powerhouse last year and they were continually better each season with him at the helm.

I guess those would be my main five.
