STAMPS, HOWARD INJURY UPDATE

(Edmonton) –  During yesterday’s game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Fred Stamps sustained a hit to the chest late in the fourth quarter. Following the game, he was taken to hospital for precautionary tests after experiencing shortness of breath. Stamps was released from hospital and returned to Edmonton this morning where he will continue to be monitored by team medical staff.

 

Eskimo defensive end  Marcus Howard sustained a broken thumb on his left hand. He is out indefinitely.

What has this world come to when your out indefinitely with a broken left thumb good gracious me ! Unless it's smashed to smithereens, tape it and play woose !

Ron Atchison used to play with a cast on his arm all year. That may be outlawed now though.

Kilgore, the Rider's new middle linebacker, is on the 6 game injury list with a broken thumb too.
