Jack Campbell appears to be the backup goalie the Maple Leafs were looking for. Campbell stopped 24 shots for Toronto in a 4-2 road win over the Ottawa Senators. He’s now 3-0-and-1 since the Leafs acquired him February 5th from the L-A Kings.

A comeback win for the Stars in Montreal. Tyler Seguin (SAY’-gehn) scored in overtime as Dallas erased a three-goal deficit to beat the Canadiens 4-3. It was Seguin’s second goal of the night and 14th of the season. Joal Armia (ar-MEE’-uh), Jordan Weal and Nick Cousins made it 3-0 Montreal early in the second period.

Adam Larsson scored his first goal in almost a year, and the Edmonton Oilers beat the struggling Florida Panthers 4-1 in Sunrise. Larsson’s first goal since February 19th of 2019 put the Oilers ahead 1-0 at the 15:14 mark of the first period. It was the sixth loss in the last seven games for the Panthers, who are 2-6-and-1 since the All-Star break.

San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane has criticized the NHL department of player safety – shortly after he was suspended three games for elbowing. Kane says “No one person can tell you what is or isn’t a suspension in today’s game, it’s become a complete guess.” He was suspended for elbowing Winnipeg defenceman Neal Pionk in yesterday’s 3-2 win over the Jets.

Miami’s Bam Abedayo has won the All-Star skills challenge in Chicago. Abedayo narrowly defeated Indiana’s Domantas Sabonis in the final in a matchup of All-Star big men. He also eliminated 2018 champion Spencer Dinwiddie and Raptors star Pascal Siakam in the first two rounds on the obstacle course.

Saskatchewan’s Robyn Silvernagle opened the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in front of a hometown crowd in Moose Jaw with a 6-4 win over New Brunswick’s Andrea Crawford. Also, the women’s nation championship had its first upset when Northern Ontario’s Krista McCarville downed defending champion Chelsea Carey 8-3 in the first draw.

I’m hoping Cody Fajardo (fuh-JAR-dough) has a big year in 2020. 🙂

The CFL’s Randy Ambrosie getting krazy again talking nonsense with his version of playoff realignment. All they need is a 8 game tournament based on.
1 vs 8,
2 vs 7,
3 vs 6,
4 vs 5.
9th team too bad you don’t qualify for the dance.

I would disagree. There are already too many losers (teams with losing records) in the playoffs. In fact, I think crossovers should only occur if the team has a winning record. Otherwise you don’t deserve to be there any more than the other division’s third place team.

Agreed, It’s high time some of these pathetic CFL organizations/teams start pulling up their own socks, put on their big boy pants and be accountable to their on field product.
