Jacob Trouba wants out of Winnipeg. The Jets defenceman has requested a trade from the team and doesn’t plan to attend training camp. The Boston Red Sox are playoff bound. With the complicated math of baseball in the wild-card era, Boston clinched a post-season berth after beating the Rays 6-4. The Red Sox maintained a 5-and-a-half game lead over Toronto for the division title and ensured no worse than the A-L’s second wild card. Dustin Pedroia hit his fourth career grand slam in the win.

Bo Levi Mitchell continues to get it done for the Stampeders. Both his personal unbeaten streak and Calgary’s were extended to 12-straight games after a 36-34 win over the Blue Bombers. Mitchell is one game shy of the C-F-L unbeaten record held by former Edmonton Eskimos quarterback Warren Moon. Moon went 12-0-and-1 over two seasons in 1981-82.

Tyler Crapigna kicked a 29-yard field goal as time expired to give the Saskatchewan Roughriders a 20-18 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Mosaic Stadium.
