CIS:  The University of Calgary Dinos will get a shot at a seventh consecutive Canada West title after dominating the University of Regina Rams 56-0 Saturday in the second of two conference semi-finals.

The Dinos (7-2) will meet the Manitoba Bisons (5-4) in the 78th Hardy Cup next Saturday at 2 p.m. MT, live on Shaw TV, in a rematch of last year’s conference championship game at McMahon Stadium.

Andrew Buckley completed 23 of 31 passes for 404 yards and four touchdowns – all of which came in a 33-point second quarter – to lead the Dinos back to the conference title game. He found Brett Blaszko and Rashaun Simonise for two touchdowns each in the second frame, and three of those were bombs: Blaszko had 36- and 72-yard scores, while Simonise ran a 58-yarder into the end zone. Blaszko’s first touchdown was a 36-yard beauty as he tiptoed down the sidelines into the end zone 82 seconds into the second quarter, sparking the 33-point outburst.

CFL:  Backup Q-B Tino Sunseri threw for 59 yards and a touchdown, and starter Kerry Joseph ran in a score himself as Saskatchewan beat Edmonton 24-17 to lock up third place in the West division. The Riders will play the Eskimos in Edmonton next week in the West semifinal. Earlier, Hamilton earned top spot in the East with a 29-15 rout over the Alouettes. The Ticats will host the division final on November 23rd while Montreal plays B-C in the East semi next week.

Anyone else watch the Rams game on Access? Second quarter … down 26-0 … then we switch to bingo. Enough of that I guess! Of course ESPN 3 in the U.S. not much better. Friend in AZ was watching the Rider game. Late in the 4th as Esks are mounting a comeback late he got a message 'thanks for watching the game'. Am now thankful TSN waits for the last whistle before going to a discussion of the game. (Although it's an NFL discussion)

I am in AZ and watched ESPN3 with no issues. I tuned in the TSN broadcast on ESPN3, muted it and then listened to Rod/Carm on tunein radio. Takes a couple of minutes of messing with fast forward/pause to get things sync'ed up, but it worked great and I was able to watch until the end the game and continued to listen to the fifth quarter on tune in. Technology is wonderful…when it works! BW
