SWIFT CURRENT TIES SERIES WITH REGINA

Swift Current scored five runs in the second inning on their way to a 7-5 win over the Regina Red Sox Wednesday night. 

The series is now tied at one game each and will head back to Regina for Game on Thursday Night and Game 4 on Friday. 

Regina native Dylan Bells made the start for the Red Sox and went seven innings. He only allowed four earned runs on nine hits and four walks. The freshman from Frank Philllips threw 116 pitches and had eight strike outs in a losing effort.

Joey Machado started for the 57s. He went five innings allowing one earned run on three hits. He also struck out three. Spencer Koelewyn came on in relief and earned the victory. Closer Keil Krumwiede came on to pitch the final two innings for the save. 

Blake Adams and Jerad Dokey each had a pair of hits, a RBI and scored a run in the Swift Current win. Phil Langlois scored a run and had a pair of hits and a walk for the Red Sox.
