THE KEG PATS RECAP: KOOTENAY 4 REGINA 3 (OT)

Regina – The Regina Pats overcame a 3-0 first period deficit on Friday night but lost 4-3 in overtime to the Kootenay Ice at the Brandt Centre.

Jake Leschsyhyn assisted on each of the Pats goals in the comeback but Keenan Taphorn won it for the Ice with 54 seconds left in the extra frame.

The Pats outshot Kootenay 47-40 in the loss.

Jordan Hollett made 36 saves for the Pats while Payton Lee stopped 44 of 47 and Kootenay picked up their first win of the year.

– Jake Leschyshyn had a three point night and took over the team lead in scoring with eight points on the year.
– Sergey Zborovskiy scored his first goal off the season in the loss.
– Riley Woods has points in four of five games on the season (2G 3A).

What’s Next?

They haven't lost a game yet, check out the standings, two OT losses don't count as a loss
