Kind of surprised that Seabrook and Giroux didn't make it onto the team. Nonetheless, pretty solid team overall and they'll be tough to beat in Sochi. Pumped that Kunitz made it, he's worked his tail off for this opportunity. Glad that Subban made it too. He does make mental mistakes but he more than makes up for it with his talent and energy on the ice. The veterans around him will help with the mental part. Hopefully Stamkos is ready to go; they showed him at the MTS skating on his own and seems to be improving by the day.… Read more »
Edouard Vlasic, Bouwmeister, Getzlaf, Hamhuis, Kunitz, Marleau, Nash, = a very slow skating team on Olympic International Ice surface, Switzerland will blow their doors off. Giroux, Eberle, St Louis, E. Stall, Lucic, Seguin, Seabrook, staying home this year. Russia will win the coveted Gold Medal on home land.
Laughable – Anon 2 is the same people that have football 'knowledge' in the summer. Vlasic, Bouwmeester and Marleau made it because they can skate. Giroux is unreal but his skating is awful! Eberle, Lucic, Stall …
Let's clear it up that Regina is the only place thinking Eberle had a chance. Not even the Edmonton media mentioned him. Chris Cuthbert didn't even include him on his Team Canada 2 mock team.
he is a good player in a league with a lot of great players.
Gee, Riders win the Grey Cup so you've got nothing else to bitch about hey? Stevie Y and the management team have all won multiple Stanley Cups both as players and as management. I think they know what they're doing more than you would.
Dumbass….
It didn't take long, 2nd comment and we may as well "pack it in, panic and crap our pants". A slow team? C'mon man! 90% of this team is above average to exceptional speed!
Captain Jack Sparrow
Wow, someone thinks that these guys are slow, Bouwmeester has great speed, sometimes people write things without knowing anything about what they are talking about.
Whhhhut, brought to you by Mcdonald's.
Kevin Lowe brings his 6 Stanley Cups to the table – as a player! He made that fairly clear last year.
Plug horse team, as in Clydesdale.
Nice try cupcake!
Y'er welcome.
3 Saskatchewan Players on this Team – 2 from Regina. Too bad Josh Harding wasn't chosen – certainly a strong candidate… Go CANADA Go !
4 Saskies Rod—don't forget about Babcock!
Looking at the list of players selected, it certainly can make us proud in Sask that we have 3 of the 25 spots, more than 10% of the squad. And to see there is only one from Manitoba and one from Alberta. We are well represented again on Team Canada just like we were in Vancouver too.
Jonathan Toews Team Canada captain.
Crosby gets the "C"
Toews, Weber, and Keith get the "A's". That would be me guess.
