THURSDAY RUNDOWN: CHERYL BERNARD & MORE PLAYOFFS TALK!

It was smiles all around on Thursday’s Episode #750 of The RP Show – Daytime Sports & Entertainment Talk – live from the Grey Eagle Resort & Casino on Game+ TV! Here’s the rundown:

  • RP and Moose Dupont got it going with The Warmup covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) Wednesday NHL leftovers, 2) The Blue Jays salvage the Yankees series with a 2-1 win, 3) NBA Playoffs recap, 4) Junior hockey playoffs (Is it bad that Rod wanted to see a Game 7 in the SJHL Final?), 5) A preview of Thursday’s Stanley Cup Playoff games, and 6) NFL coverage – they’re saying Matt Ryan is Peyton Manning 2.0 in Indianapolis.
  • With the Oilers trouncing L.A. in Game 2, the boys had the ceremonial “Raising of the Oilers Jersey” to Edmonton fans’ delight on stage. RP figures that win was a “bubble burster”, and that the Oilers will roll the rest of the way in the series. The panel weighed in with their thoughts on all the NHL Playoff series and invited tons of comments from viewers. They also delved into the Winnipeg Jets coaching search.
  • Olympic silver medallist and curling broadcaster Cheryl Bernard came down to the Stage Bar for an interview which spanned both Hours 1 & 2. The native Calgarian discussed all aspects of the sport of curling, her Olympic experience, the transition into broadcasting, and her role as President & CEO of the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame (the 2022 Induction Class will be announced next week).
  • Wednesday’s Rockstar of the Day for RoxDar Supply Chain Solutions was Olympic gold medal Skeleton racer Duff Gibson. Thursday’s was Cheryl Bernard!
  • Join us Friday at 12 pm ET on Game+ TV, YouTube Live and RodPedersen.com/ListenLive for a Flame Tech Football Friday. Calgary Stampeders coach Dave Dickenson will join us live at Grey Eagle!
