THURSDAY RUNDOWN: FAIRHOLM REMEMBERS

With the CFL Division Finals at hand and hockey in full force, we had plenty to discuss on Thursday’s Episode #1,117 of The RP Show. Argonauts Voice Mike Hogan and TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor were both scheduled to appear in Hour 1 but were called away so instead we debated this weekend’s games, the Oilers demoting goalie Jack Campbell, Connor Bedard hitting Florida as the Blackhawks visit Tampa Bay on Thursday and Florida on Sunday, and much more.

Rider great Jeff Fairholm joined the show and previewed the weekend games (he picks B.C. and Toronto to win). The famed slotback also recalled the greatest upset in CFL history, when the 9-9 Saskatchewan Roughriders surprised the 16-2 Edmonton Eskimos 32-21 in the West Division Final at Commonwealth Stadium. “Fairway” credits a great game plan and a tremendous locker room which had a great mix of “old and young”. The guys also debated who the next coach of the Roughriders should, or will, be.

If you missed the show you can catch the replay at 5:00 pm ET on Game+TV or all podcast platforms.
