TICATS EXTEND REED AND COLEMAN
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed international linebacker Taylor Reed and international defensive end Antonio Coleman to new contracts.
Reed was named the Tiger-Cats Most Outstanding Rookie after finishing the 2014 season ranked fourth among CFL rookies in defensive tackles with 62, while also notching five special teams tackles, eight quarterback sacks, one interception and a fumble recovery.
Coleman, a 6-1, 254-pound, native of Mobile, Alabama, compiled 11 defensive tackles and three sacks in five starts last season. Prior to signing with the Tiger-Cats last May, the former Auburn Tiger had stints with the NFL’s Buffalo Bills, New York Giants, and Arizona Cardinals. He also spent the majority of the 2013 season on the Saskatchewan Roughriders practice roster
Both Reed and Coleman were slated to become free agents on February 10.
