PATCHAT: The Regina Pats (10-0-3) play Game 2 of a three game homestand Wednesday evening when they welcome the Kootenay Ice (3-8-3-1) … The Pats enter the night as the #2 ranked team in the latest CHL rankings and are the lone team in the CHL without a regulation loss … The Pats lead the WHL’s Eastern Conference by two points over Medicine Hat … Regina is 6-0-3 at home … They are #1 in the conference in goals against (39) and #2 in goals for (68).

LAST GAME: The Pats dumped Seattle 6-3 on Sunday before 6484 fans in the Brandt Centre … Dawson Leedahl (Saskatoon, SK) led the Pats with 2-2-4.

LEADERS:  The Pats are led by Sam Steel (10-12-22), Jake Leschyshyn (7-9-16), and Leedahl (5-11-16) … Austin Wagner leads the club in penalty minutes (25).

PATS LEAD THE LEAGUE: Sam Steel was named the WHL’s Player of the Month on Tuesday and is 4th in league scoring … Teammate Austin Wagner leads the league in shorthanded goals (3) … Forward Filip Ahl is #1 in game winning goals (4) …. Defenceman Chase Harrison is tops in the WHL in plus/minus (+22).

ICE CHIPS: Kootenay is 1-4-0 on the road and is 11th in the Eastern Conference, four points behind Brandon for the final playoff spot … The Ice begin a 4-game road trip through the East Division Wednesday evening … Kootenay beat the Pats 4-3 in overtime back on Oct. 7 in Regina … The Ice are coming off a 2-game sweep of Brandon on the weekend in Cranbrook … Kootenay is led by Zak Zborovsky (12-5-17), Matt Alfaro (6-8-14), and Cale Fleury (2-7-9) … Barrett Sheen is their PM leader (29).


ISN’T THAT SPECIAL: The Pats are 5th-ranked on the powerplay (25.8%) and 10th on the penalty kill (79.2%) … The Ice are 12th on the man advantage (20.%) and 16th killing penalties (77.4%)

GOALTENDING LEADERS: Tyler Brown has played the most minutes in goal for the Pats this season (6-0-2, 2.96 GAA, .908 SAV) while Payton Lee has been the busiest for the Ice (3-1-3-1, 2.55 GAA, .935 SAV).

NEXT UP: The Pats close out the homestand Friday evening versus the Saskatoon Blades at 7:00 pm on Access/Shaw and 620 CKRM … They are on the road next Thursday when they visit the Moose Jaw Warriors.
