TUESDAY DUB ROUND-UP

WINNIPEG – Connor McClennon scored twice and added two assists as the Winnipeg ICE defeated the Everett Silvertips 5-4 in Western Hockey League action on Tuesday.

The ICE, who won their 14th game in 15 starts, were listed at No. 2 in the Canadian Hockey League’s latest top 10 rankings earlier in the day.

Owen Pederson had a goal and two assists in the win. Other ICE goals were netted by Ben Zloty and Zach Benson.

Goaltender Daniel Hauser extended his personal winning streak to 11 games with the win.

Ryan Hofer, Austin Roest, Caden Zaplitny and Olen Zellweger scored for the Silvertips (8-5-0-0).

Everett outshot Winnipeg 41-34.

THUNDERBIRDS 5 COUGARS 3

SEATTLE, WASH. – Reid Schaefer scored twice and Kyle Crnkovic had a goal and two assists as the Seattle Thunderbirds clipped the visiting Prince George Cougars 5-3.

Gabe Ludwig and Jordan Gustafson also scored for the Thunderbirds (10-1-0-0), who earlier in the day were listed at No. 5 in the CHL’s top 10 rankings of the week.

Caden Brown, Koehn Ziemmer and Ethan Samson scored for the Cougars (6-7-0-0).

HURRICANES 5 ROYALS 1

LETHBRIDGE, ALTA. – Nolan Bentham scored two goals, and Logan Wormald had a goal and an assist as the Lethbridge Hurricanes whipped the visiting Victoria Royals 5-1.

Jett Jones and Joe Arntsen also scored for the Hurricanes (7-8-0-0).

Carter Dereniwsky scored for the Royals (3-11-2-0).

Lethbridge outshot Victoria 36-31.

GIANTS 3 TIGERS 2 (OT)

MEDICINE HAT, ALTA. – Jaden Lipinski’s goal at 3:28 of overtime gave the visiting Vancouver Giants a come-from-behind victory over the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Zack Ostapchuk and Mazden Leslie also scored for the Giants (5-7-1-2), who trailed 2-1 until Ostapchuk scored at 19:55 of the third to tie the game and force overtime. Samuel Honzek chipped in with two assists for the winners.

Brayden Boehm and Bogdans Hodass scored for the Tigers (4-6-3-0).

Medicine Hat outshot Vancouver 31-19.

RAIDERS 5 AMERICANS 4

PRINCE ALBERT, SASK. – Landon Kosior scored twice, including the winner early in the third period, as the Prince Albert Raiders edged the Tri-City Americans 5-4.

Keaton Sorensen, Nolan Allan and Niall Crocker also scored for the Raiders (4-9-2-0).

Drew Freer, Jake Sloan, Parker Bell and Ethan Ernst scored for the Americans (6-7-0-0).
