TUESDAY DUB ROUND-UP

VICTORIA – Dylan Ernst stopped all 17 shots he faced and the Kamloops Blazers scorched the struggling Victoria Royals 3-0 in Western Hockey League action Tuesday.

Logan Stankoven opened the scoring midway through the first period, Caedan Bankier added a power-play goal in the second and Logan Bairos sealed the score with a goal 8:21 into the third.

Bankier and Bairos also contributed assists for the Blazers (14-5-5).

Netminder Nicholas Cristiano stopped 29-of-32 shots for the Royals (3-21-3), who’ve lost 12 straight games.

EVERETT, WASH. – Ben Hemmerling scored twice and notched an assist as Everett (15-10-1) downed Prince George (14-12-0). Caden Zaplitny, Austin Roest and Ryan Hofer all added goals for the Silvertips and the Cougars got a pair from Chase Wheatcroft.

SPOKANE, WASH. – Scott Ratzlaff stopped all 36 shots he faced as Seattle (18-5-0) shutout Spokane (5-18-1). Bryce Pickford, Nico Myatovic and Kyle Crnkovic all scored for the Thunderbirds, who extended their win streak to three.

HURRICANES 7 BRONCOS 2

LETHBRIDGE, ALTA. – Tyson Zimmer scored twice as Lethbridge (16-11-1) crushed Swift Current (12-13-0). The two sides traded goals in the opening frame before the Hurricanes stormed into the second, scoring 33 seconds into the period. It was the first of five unanswered goals for the home side.

EDMONTON – Oasiz Wiesblatt scored and added an assist as Medicine Hat (10-13-5) topped Edmonton (4-23-1). Rhett Parsons, Tyler MacKenzie and Bogdans Hodass also had goals for the Tigers. The Oil Kings have lost six in a row.

BLADES 5 WHEAT KINGS 4 (OT)

SASKATOON – Conner Roulette scored 2:33 into extra time as Saskatoon (20-5-0) edged Brandon (10-15-3). The goal was Roulette’s second of the game and 10th of the season. He also contributed a pair of assists as the Blades stretched their win streak to five games.
