TUESDAY RUNDOWN: A BURRIS RETURN?

You’ll want to check out Tuesday’s Episode #1,106 of The RP Show as the host dropped the bomb that an internal source with the Roughriders told him Henry Burris is a leading candidate to become the next head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders! This comes less than 24 hours after Craig Dickenson was let go by the club, and GM Jeremy O’Day was given a new contract.

Beyond that scoop, we discussed Game 7 of the ALCS (the Rangers bombed the Astros to advance to the World Series), previewed Game 7 of the NLCS (Arizona at Philly on Tuesday night), and spent a TON of time on the 16-game Frozen Frenzy schedule in the NHL on Tuesday. RP said the biggest game is Boston at Chicago while Moose Dupont feels it’s Toronto at Washington.

Live guests included Vancouver Canucks reporter Jeff Patterson, Montreal Canadiens great Chris Nilan and Leader Post writer Taylor Shire!

Catch the replay at 5 pm ET on Game+TV, on our YouTube Channel or wherever you enjoy your podcasts.

See you Wednesday!

I hope Connor Bedard has eyes in the back of his head to avoid being blindsided and bushwhacked by that goon of all goons, Brad Marchand!

Preemptive strike, get a 4th liner out there and he puts a cross check right on that big schnozz, then tell if even looks at bedard the wrong way the next act will be 5 times worse.

Henry Burris leave NFL money and his current gig in sunny California with the LA Rams for the lowly Saskatchewan Roughriders and the lowly Canadian dollar not happening.

I think too many Saskatchewanians have sour memories of Henry bolting to Calgary days after saying re-signing with the Riders would be a “no brainer”. Many people have mentioned Scott Milanovich and even Buck Pierce. Whoever gets the job, I hope he can rally Riderville!

I can’t see Burris wanting to kill his coaching career working for someone like Oday who a lot of players won’t even play for. I still can’t get over the fact that we have that idiot for another 3 years!

If Henry Burris is the early top choice as the next SRrs head coach Jeremy O’Day will have to totally open the Rider bank vault to pay Ole Henry easily over 700K US per season (1 million Canadian dollars) because that’s what it’s going to take to lure Ole Henry, his wife and children back to small town Regina and the Province of Saskatchewan where there’s not much happening for excitement, entertainment with limited job options for the wife.
