TUESDAY RUNDOWN: COACH PHIL, JERSEY JIM & MORE
Tuesday’s show was burning on Episode #1,084 of The RP Show – Daytime Sportstalk – on Game+TV, WQEE Radio, Podcast & YouTube Live! Here’s the rundown:
- RP and Moose Dupont kicked it off with The Warmup covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) The Blue Jays open a crucial series at the Yankees, 2) The Saints and Steelers won on Monday Night Football, 3) The NFL says the Players Association has encouraged running backs to fake/embellish injuries, 4) More Mike Babcock fallout (Biz Nasty says never intended to cost Babcock his job), 5) 7 Burning Questions for Canada’s NHL teams, and 6) Randoms.
- Washington State football coach, teacher and YouTuber Coach Phil joined the show to discuss his recent love affair with the CFL and being the newest member of the Rider Nation. Phil and Rod went through the hottest CFL topics and Phil said with Toronto being the best team and Argos QB Chad Kelly being the league MVP, the next-best teams are Winnipeg and BC, and the CFL’s next big thing is Elks QB Tre Ford and Rider QB Jake Dolegala.
- The NHL topics were a big theme throughout the show and the burning questions are: Vancouver (Can Rick Tocchet be THE guy?), Edmonton (How far should they be expected to go?), Calgary (Can Ryan Huska be THE guy?), Winnipeg (Has the culture been changed enough?), Toronto (Is this finally THE year?), Ottawa (Will the 6-year playoff drought finally end?), and Montreal (How long will Habs fans remain patient?).
- NHL Full Press writer Jersey Jim Biringer joined the show and predicted the Devils will take another step forward after last year’s surprising season. He figures Connor Bedard will go OVER the over/under of 69.5 points in his rookie season, and many more NHL topics.
- Monday’s Rockstar of the Day was Craig Button. Tuesday’s was Coach Phil!
- If you missed the show you can catch the replay at 5 pm ET on Game+ TV, on our YouTube Channel or wherever you enjoy your podcasts.
- See you at 12 pm ET on Wednesday on Game+TV, WQEE Radio, YouTube Live and Podcast.
Sorry coach Phil, just a correction, there is no such thing as Rider Nation, that was just a blatant rip-off of Raider Nation, legal fanbase of the NFL Raiders by certain individuals within the Saskatchewan Roughriders fanbase “Riderville” desperate to be relevant within football circles and in need of commercial income. The actual Legal name for the Saskatchewan Roughriders fanbase (Riderville.com) Is “Riderville”, always was, always will be “Riderville”. Long live “Riderville”.
PS,
The Ottawa REDBLACKS formerly the Ottawa ROUGH RIDERS of the CFL have a legal fanbase name known as R Nation. Enjoy your day Coach Phil.
