TUESDAY RUNDOWN: COREY PERRY TALK, BARNEY BURNS AND MORE!

We covered the nation’s hottest sports topics on Tuesday’s Episode #1,130 of The RP Show!

NHL super pest Matthew Barnaby joined the show to provide analysis on the latest news and said he’s surprised Patrick Kane’s headed to Detroit given the fact they’re not a Stanley Cup contender, but the $2.75M deal was likely offer of the four teams vying of this services. He felt the brouhaha in Ottawa Monday night orchestrated by the Tkachuck brothers was just clean fun. Regarding the Leafs, Barney feels that at some point Mitch Marner is going to have to go in order to clear up salary space for much-needed defenceman.

The other hot topic in the NHL is Chicago’s plans to terminate Corey Perry’s contract. Viewers asked about “the rumour” involving Perry, but I wouldn’t dignify it with a response. “D-U-M-B.”

Daily Faceoff writer Steve Ellis joined the show from Toronto to preview the Leafs/Panthers match, and the upcoming World Junior training camps. He also discussed which rookies are giving Connor Bedard the best competition for the Calder Trophy.

We also discussed the CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-upping their management team, and the latest on the Roughriders coaching search.
