Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion are officially testing the free-agent market. Both sluggers rejected their 17.2 million dollar qualifying offers from the Toronto Blue Jays. Of the 10 free agents who received qualifying offers, only Jeremy Hellickson of the Phillies and Neil Walker of the Mets chose to accept.

The New York Islanders had no answer for Andrei Vasilevskiy. The Lightning goalie made 34 saves to help Tampa Bay down the Islanders 4-0. J-T Brown and Ryan Callahan scored 42 seconds apart in the first period and Nikita Kucherov and Vladislav Namestnikov added power-play goals.

Marc Gasol scored a season-high 22 points and the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Utah Jazz 102-96. Mike Conley had 18 points and seven assists, and Zach Randolph added 18 points and 10 rebounds off the bench for the Grizzlies.

San Antonio’s projected starting five finally made its home debut. And they performed as expected. Kawhi Leonard had 24 points and 12 rebounds, LaMarcus Aldridge added 18 points and the Spurs beat Miami 94-90. Injuries to San Antonio’s starting backcourt led to five different starting lineups in the team’s first nine games.

Eli Manning threw his third touchdown pass of the game on a fourth-down gamble, and the New York Giants beat the Cincinnati Bengals 21-20 for their first four-game winning streak since 2013. Manning threw scoring passes of 10 yards apiece to Jerrell Adams and Odell Beckham in the first half and a game-winning 3-yarder to rookie Sterling Shepard in the fourth.
