TWO PATS RATED FOR 2020 NHL DRAFT
Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce that defenceman Ryker Evans and forward Jakob Brook have been ranked by the Central Scouting Service for the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
Forward Jakob Brook came in as the 171st ranked player in North American and Ryker Evans was 177th in the midterm rankings.
Evans is enjoying a career year with the Pats, scoring four goals and 12 assists for 16 points in 40 games. The 18-year-old is a late birthday and is in his first year of eligibility for the NHL draft.
17-year-old Jakob Brook was acquired by the Pats from the Prince Albert Raiders last week. He has put up three goals and nine points in 38 games this season.
Pats prospect Ty Smilanic came in as the 18th ranked skater in North America, he is currently playing with the U.S. National Development Program.
Russian prospect Daniil Gushchin was also among those ranked, coming in at 37th in North America. He is playing this season in the USHL with Muskegon.
The 2020 NHL Entry Draft will take place on June 26-27 at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
The Pats will return to action on Tuesday night when they visit the Portland Winterhawks at 9 p.m. on 620 CKRM. Next home game is January 24 against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
