REGINA (CP) – Jack Rodewald scored the only goal in the shootout and added another in regulation as Moose Jaw slipped past the Pats 4-3 on Saturday.

Brayden Point and Torrin White rounded out the attack for the Warriors (30-34-5).

Adam Brooks had a goal late in the third for Regina (37-22-10) to force extra time. Patrick D’Amico and Austin Wagner added the others.

Daniel Wapple took the loss in the Pats’ goal while Brody Willms got the “W” for Moose Jaw.
The Pats outshot the Tribe 42-31 while going 0/2 on the powerplay and 1/2 killing penalties.  The attendance was 6484 in the Brandt Centre, representing the Pats’ second sellout of the season.
Regina returns to action Tuesday evening when they host the Brandon Wheat Kings in a St. Patrick’s Day clash on 620 CKRM and Access 7 (Press Box Sports Bar Pregame Show at 6:35 pm).

Warrior win certainly gives them confidence in the Playoffs against the PATS, but they have a huge challenge to overtake Swift Current to claim that spot in the playoffs……….

Very poor performance by the team. The only Pat player that stood out all night was Austin Wagner. It is understandable that these games are meaningless but it is very easy to get in bad habits and with last nights performance it looks like we are headed that way. Playing 5 minutes in the first period and slacking off the rest of the game is destruction. As for the power play which we do not have it was terrible and if the team does not come up with a solution it will be our destiny in the playoffs. Lets get back… Read more »

The Moose Jaw guy was wasted apparently, just kicked the pats guy in the head then sucker punched him from behind, and dragged him down the stairs. Someone came flying down and took a round out of the MJ guy that started it.. Maybe one of his friends? The whole section was saying the pats guy didn't do anything, it was drunk pos warrior fan.. Completely bs.

Moose Jaw people were the instigators and it's a disgrace to say the least. Sure hope the Warrior fans and the community are happy with themselves. You are an absolute disgrace to Saskatchewan and our values. Did us Regina fans who came up to Friday's game in Moose Jaw show such action. We did not, sure happy I live in Regina, feel sorry for people in Moose Jaw, you're behaviour is an Embarrassment to our province, hope you feel good about yourselves, you embarrass the community you live in. You Moose Jaw people are so sad.

the worst part of the fight and I could see it from the other side of ice is the security guards let the guy who was throwing the punches go back to his seat… they never kicked him out

the should of carried him out and used his face to open the doors outside as there were at least 20 young screaming kids cheering for the game. Not something you want them to see.

I heard he got kicked out and had to wait outside for his bus to come after the game was over. Hopefully he is charged with assault and banned from the Brandt Center for life

Got kicked out ??? That's it ??? Police should have been involved – should have charged him with assault, and spent the night at Regina Police HQ. Disgraceful !

Exactly. This guy sounds like a violent scum bag. I hope he gets charged with assault and battery, public intoxication, and disturbing the public. I can't stand people like that. And because of him I hope the Warriors miss the playoffs so he can cry himself to sleep while the pats enjoy a long successful playoff run.

While we're making sweeping judgements about entire fanbases and communities… Maybe we should flash back to the Pats' fan who decided to take out an entire bank of windows at the CC in MJ one playoff series. Or… To the classy Pats' fan who violently assaulted a Moose Jaw mascot– who happened to be a middle aged woman. Do all Pats' fans (or residents of oh so cosmopolitan REGINA) get to take credit for those?!?!? Ugly incident this weekend, apparently. Unfortunate. But, some of the comments I've seen and heard are the reason why these things happen in the first… Read more »

Not too sure where you can up with these stories… kinda sad that you can't just admit that the Warriors have dead beat fans… I guess you're probably one of them aren't you?

Some 55+ years ago I went to a Pats/Moose Jaw Canucks SJHL playoff game in the Jaw (I was 10 at the time). Standing room only and I was standing behind the Canucks net and the Pats scored. I cheered and the adult beside took his lighted cigarette and put it on the outside of my hand. I see not much has changed with Moose Jaw fans.
